Harding Teachers Two in a Million

CEDAR RAPIDS — Donna Charipar and Jessica Vasquez, teachers at Harding Middle School, have received funding for projects they submitted during U.S. Cellular’s $1 million Calling All Teachers campaign.

“Qwest” for Technology a Success

Two Eastern Iowa School districts — Monticello and Washington — received funding to pursue high tech ideas from the Qwest Teachers and Technology grant program.
The Qwest Foundation and Iowa School Boards Foundation made the announcement today. A combined $46,000 was awarded to five Iowa school districts.

Kennedy Teacher and Students Going to South Africa

CEDAR RAPIDS — Jason Cochrane, a science teacher at Kennedy High School and Discovery Education advisor, has been selected for a tour of South Africa in June.
